Paul's Prayer for Us- Philippians 1:9-22- Andy Dong

Preacher: Weston Young Series: Philippians Scripture: Philippians 1:9–11

The book of Philippians is a very personal letter written by the Apostle Paul (one of the most prolific church planters in the time immediately after Jesus) to his first recorded church plant in Europe, in the Greek city of Philippi. Despite being so far away from the Philippians & imprisoned because of his faith, Paul joyfully responded to their supportive gifts & updates on their wellbeing by writing this letter to thank them, encourage them, and challenge them to unite, grow, and persevere in their faith, even amidst strong persecution. Overall, he pointed them back to Jesus’ suffering on the Cross - how it leads to transformed lives & God’s glory - as their enduring hope & singular model for life as a community.
